Project Description
GasolineraHoy answers a search people in Spain type every day: where is petrol cheapest in my town today. Searches for "gasolineras baratas" plus a city add up to tens of thousands a month, and on many of those queries Google shows no AI Overview, because the answer changes daily.
The site is built from the Ministry's open feed of every station in the country. Each municipality with three or more stations gets its own page: an answer card with the cheapest 95 and diesel, the station and address, averages, a sortable table of all stations, a 30-day chart and neighbouring towns. Provinces and fuel brands get pages too, and the home page carries a price map where every one of the 11,000 stations is a dot coloured against the national median. In total that is over 1,100 pages.
There is no framework under it. A small Python generator with Jinja2 templates pulls the feed and rebuilds the whole site in about 20 seconds, so cron runs it every 30 minutes, in step with the feed. Every page follows the same SEO standard as the rest of my programmatic sites: title and description patterns, a JSON-LD graph, a sitemap and a pre-launch check script. Lighthouse mobile scores sit at 99 to 100.
